Become a Billionaire Weather Mutations and Charms

Rain, disco, and meteor charms that multiply cash on placed Become a Billionaire units.

Weather Mutations

Weather mutations are the quiet multiplier sitting on top of Shop characters in Become a Billionaire. The tycoon still starts the same way: buy a Noob, fill pads, collect, Rebirth, spend points on Cash Boost. Then a storm hits, a unit grows a charm, and that pad prints more than the Shop tile promised. This page is the how-to-get and how-to-protect version of that system. Pair it with Merge and Crates for the totems that seed rare charms, How to Get Samurai for the late pad people chase after a mutated base, and How to Get Knight if the Shop row after Ninja is the wall, not the weather.

0 Visits Games did not publish a charm spreadsheet. Numbers below come from public July 2026 sessions. Treat them as a snapshot, then read the live HUD on your own 6-player plot.

What a mutation actually is

A mutation is a charm on a placed character. Inventory copies do not pick up weather. If a unit is sitting in Shop storage while it rains, it stays dry. Walk it onto a pad first.

Public footage names several charms:

CharmHow it showed upClaimed cash effect
Wet / waterRain weatherabout +75% cash
WindTimed weathersmall, frequent
ElectricTimed weatherbetter than wind in the same clip
DiscoTaco totem / Legendary crateabout +700%
MeteorRocket totem, low rollabout +400%

A Gym Bro in one late-game guide was shown with up to five mutations at once. Disco plus meteor on the same unit is the screenshot people chase. Water, wind, and electric are the common weather drips that fill empty charm slots while you wait.

Weather you do not buy

Rain and other timed weathers roll on their own. One session treated water, wind, or electric as something you might see about every half hour. You cannot queue weather from Shop. You can only be online, have pads filled, and let the storm hit the plot.

That is why empty pads waste mutations. A charm that lands on nothing is a missed window. Fill cheap units from Getting Started before you sit in the crate ring hoping for disco. Offline cash still ticks when you log out, but weather charms need you in the server with bodies on the floor.

Wet charm is the beginner storm. It is not disco. It is still a real bump on Tix Investor and Hacker pads while you save for Rebirth. Do not sell a wet unit to buy a dry one of the same tier.

Totems that force the rare charms

Disco and meteor are not weather luck. In the July 2026 pro session, taco totems were the disco source and rocket totems were the meteor source. Both dropped from the Legendary crate line, not from Basic filler. Rocket was described as a low percent meteor roll even when the totem was leveled. Taco at max still sat around a 6% disco chance in that same clip, because disco is the strong one.

Place the totem so its circle covers as many high-tier units as you can. The same session said to keep Gym Bros in the middle of the circle. A taco in the corner of an empty second floor is a Gem sink. Floors cost rebirth points. Fill ground pads, then drop the totem, then think about floors.

Traffic-cone style Legendary drops were described as money totems, not charm totems. Do not assume every Legendary roll is disco. Rank crate value on the totem tier list and spend Gems on Legendary when you already have five copies ready to Merge, not when the plot is three Noobs and a prayer.

How mutations fit Rebirth and Merge

Rebirth wipes the current run’s placed characters. Charms sitting on those bodies leave with them. Cash Boost, Rebirth Buttons, and Gems Per Minute stay. If you Rebirth the moment a Gym Bro finally rolls disco, you threw the charm away. Finish the weather window, Merge if you have five copies plus Gems, then portal. The rebirth page is the spend order. This page is the reason you wait one more storm.

Merge still wants five identical copies plus Gems. Mutations do not replace that. A gold Gym Bro with disco is the late spike. A pile of unmerged wet Noobs is not. Codes such as UPDATELOG still only grant RNG Rolls in left Shop. Rolls open crates. Crates drop totems. Totems roll disco. That chain is why a 10-roll code is weather-adjacent even though the string never says “charm.”

Session checklist

  1. Fill every reachable pad. Weather cannot bless empty tiles.
  2. Stay in the 6-player server during storms. Offline cash is not a mutation mail queue.
  3. Park taco and rocket totems so the circle covers your best units, not the crate shop.
  4. Do not Rebirth mid-disco unless Cash Boost is so far behind that the next portal is worth more than the charm.
  5. After the storm, Merge, then check Samurai or Knight only if the live Shop actually shows those rows.

If a later patch renames disco or changes the five-charm cap, the live unit tooltip wins. Come back to Guides Hub when the stall is no longer weather.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I get weather mutations in Become a Billionaire?

Place characters on pads and stay in the server when weather hits. Wet, wind, and electric charms land on placed units. Disco and meteor come from taco and rocket totems, not from the rain itself.

Do mutations work on units in my inventory?

No. Public runs only mutate placed pads. Buy, place, then wait for weather or totem rolls.

What is the best charm?

Disco was shown around +700% and meteor around +400% in a July 2026 session. Wet is about +75%. Stack on a merged Gym Bro, not on a lone Noob.

Should I rebirth while a unit has disco?

Usually no. Rebirth wipes placed characters and their charms. Bank the window, then portal. See rebirth.
